Treatment is extremely important for anyone living with bipolar disorder. Despite this, it can be hard to find a bipolar disorder treatment center equipped to meet your needs. Ritual Recovery provides upscale, evidence-based treatment for people facing substance abuse and mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder. So, what should you know about Ritual Recovery if you’re looking for bipolar disorder treatment?
Let’s discuss the importance of dual-diagnosis treatment for people experiencing both bipolar disorder and substance use first. Then, we’ll talk about our bipolar treatment programs and housing options, the signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder, and our approach to treatment.
Living with Bipolar disorder increases your risk of developing a substance use disorder. About one in four people with a serious mental illness like bipolar disorder are said to develop a substance use disorder. However, using alcohol and other drugs can worsen the symptoms of bipolar disorder and other mental health concerns. This is true for both people with bipolar I and bipolar II.
Ritual Recovery specializes in dual-diagnosis treatment. Extensive research shows that integrated (dual-diagnosis) treatment addressing both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health concerns, like bipolar disorder, is superior to separate treatment for each diagnosis. Substance abuse serves a function. We’re here to help you understand the role substances play in your life and find healthy ways to manage your overall mental health and sobriety confidently.
Explore our specialty programs and unique offerings at our addiction treatment center in Asheville. We provide multiple options so our clients can experience treatment that leads to long-term, sustainable recovery.
Ritual Recovery is an outpatient addiction and dual-diagnosis treatment facility with housing options. Here’s a little bit about our treatment programs and housing options in Asheville and how they can help you or your loved one looking for an addiction and bipolar disorder treatment center.
The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at Ritual Recovery is our highest level of care. PHP clients at Ritual Recovery have a full daily schedule of therapy, leaving little room for external activities like work or school. Typically, a PHP schedule at our facility includes daily groups, once-weekly individual therapy, once-weekly outings and adventure therapy, and at least one family session during your first month of treatment, with more sessions available upon request. Those participating in our family program will get family therapy once weekly (sessions are conducted online over Zoom).
This level of care is an ideal alternative to inpatient treatment. We offer housing PHP and daytime PHP, giving clients the opportunity to stay in our upscale sober living accommodations or commute to treatment from home.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Ritual Recovery has a significantly lower time commitment than our PHP. Rather than attend therapy daily, our IOP clients have a reduced treatment schedule and attend therapy several days per week. IOP is the best choice for clients who need to continue working or going to school while in treatment, and it is also beneficial for clients who are transitioning out of a higher level of care, like PHP.
Our sober living accommodations provide a comfortable and supportive living space for clients. We offer shared rooms with air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. Other amenities include but aren’t limited to internet access, welcome baskets, and walk-in closets.
We accept most commercial insurance plans that cover out-of-network benefits, typically PPO insurance plans to help cover many of the costs associated with treatment at Ritual Recovery. To find out your personal options for treatment, fill out our free online insurance verification form.
What if you’re in the initial steps of pursuing a diagnosis or believe that a loved one may have bipolar disorder? Being able to identify the signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder can help. A qualified professional, such as a psychiatrist, can provide an evaluation and accurate diagnosis of bipolar I, bipolar II, or another condition under the Bipolar and Related Disorders category, such as cyclothymic disorder. If you have bipolar disorder, you will encounter rotating periods of mania or hypomania and depression.
Our bipolar disorder treatment center gives incoming clients an intake assessment, which will look at your or your loved one’s current symptoms and personal history. Sometimes, bipolar disorder is misdiagnosed at first—this is often because a person may be more apt to seek help during a depressive episode. The treatment for bipolar disorder vs. depression is different, so getting the proper diagnosis and care is vital.
You or your loved one attending our bipolar disorder treatment center in Asheville will get a custom treatment plan. Ritual Recovery offers a wide range of therapy and treatment methods, which include but aren’t limited to the following.
Your needs will inform what your day-to-day schedule looks like at our facility. Recreation is another part of our programs. Activities offered by Ritual Recovery include but aren’t limited to physical fitness, escape rooms, swimming, river rafting, reading, biking, cooking classes, snowboarding, skiing, on and off-site hiking, and more.
Ritual Recovery is an ideal solution for those seeking a bipolar disorder treatment center that addresses concurrent substance abuse. Our outpatient programs and luxury housing make clients comfortable, and we take an individualized approach to healing that ensures your unique needs are addressed.
